ValueHealth Benefit Administrators, also known as Benefit Management LLC, closed their doors and filed for bankruptcy without any notice to their clients or to Midlands Choice.
Medical plan coverage remains valid and intact and the majority of groups will be moving to a new administrator, Regional Care Inc. Providers with questions about coverage can call Regional Care Inc. at 800-795-7772. New ID cards will be issued to the members by Regional Care Inc. within a few weeks.
Claims should continue to be submitted to Midlands Choice during this transition period using EDI # 47080. Claims with attachments can be sent to Midlands Choice, PO Box 5809, Troy, MI 48007-5809. Midlands Choice is currently holding claims and will send to Regional Care Inc. for processing when the transition is complete.
Prior authorizations are still being accepted and processed by PHA and prescriptions are being filled through Elixir. The number to call for prior authorization is 844-742-9675. Refer to the member’s ID card for more information.
