If a MidlandsChoice.com website user who has registered for and been approved to receive exclusive access to the secured features on the website is having issues logging in to the system, it may be due to lack of response to an annual audit that was sent by Midlands Choice to the person designated to be the authorizing contact at the user’s organization or facility. It is important that Midlands Choice is notified when the person designated as the authorizing contact is no longer employed at the organization or if they have changed positions and are no longer the authorizing contact. The name and contact information of the person who is the new authorizing contact should be sent to Midlands Choice to avoid delays in user access to the secure website.

Midlands Choice requires that an agreement be in place between Midlands Choice and any organization that accesses the secure features of our website. If the agreement is in place, when a potential user registers for a secure account, an email is sent to the authorizing contact at the registrant’s organization advising them that an individual has requested access. Once Midlands Choice receives authorization back from the authorizing contact, an email is sent to the registrant informing them of the status of their account for each TIN registered.

In addition to approving access for potential users, the authorizing contact is sent an annual audit generated by Midlands Choice. The audit contains the names and access levels of the individuals that are shown as approved users of the Midlands Choice secured website who are employed at the authorizing contact’s organization or facility. If the authorizing contact does not return the completed audit within the amount of time indicated in the email, the Midlands Choice system automatically inactivates the tax identification number on our secure website until the audit is received. If the completed audit is received after the designated time frame, approved users must be manually reactivated, which may cause a delay in users being able to access the system.
