Effective January 1, 2022, Section 116 of the Federal Consolidated Appropriations Act (CAA) requires entities that maintain a provider directory to verify provider data every 90 days. If a provider does not respond to requests for verification, their information can be silenced from the online directory or terminated. The data elements that are reviewed include:
- Name of provider or facility
- Service location address including phone number
- Provider specialty or specialties
- Digital contact information (email address or website URL)
Midlands Choice will be reaching out to providers for electronic verification of provider data.
Provider demographic updates including additions, changes, and terminations can be submitted to Midlands Choice at any time using the online Demographic Update Form at MidlandsChoice.com or by submitting an email request to credential@midlandschoice.com.
