Federated Insurance has notified Midlands Choice that they have formed a strategic partnership with United Healthcare (UHC) to access UHC’s Choice Plus network nationally including the Choice Plus network in Nebraska and Iowa. As a result of this decision, Federated began transitioning employer groups from Midlands Choice to the other network starting July 1, 2016. This process will continue through December 31, 2017.  Midlands Choice will perform run-out repricing for claims incurred prior to the termination date for a period of one year following the group’s termination date.
