The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has announced plans to set the new ICD-10 compliance date at October 1, 2014, a one-year delay from the planned October 1, 2013 deadline. The agency in February agreed to delay the compliance date for the new procedure codes in response to physicians' concerns.
